The role Key
The roleReporting to the Global Marketing Director, this role is focused on developing new client relationships, maximising our existing client database and executing the vision and strategy for marketing & business development at CLEAR UK. You’ll be responsible for the research, targeting and initial outreach to senior client side marketers via phone, email and social media within a target list of organisations. You will be working to help us deliver CLEAR’s commercial goals – hit our profit target and put strong foundations in place to grow. You will need to show the impact of your activities and map out commercially sound recommendations throughout the year, inspiring the team on best practice in client development. The ideal candidate will have the credibility and gravitas to understand the challenges of prospective clients and identify the opportunities where we could add value and impact.
Produce compelling, tailored and relevant outbound outreach emails, calls and social media messages that position CLEAR as a potential partner for brands struggling with complexity and change
Quickly follow up all our marketing campaign activity with tailored communications designed to unlock opportunities for CLEAR
Develop high quality new relationships for CLEAR – and arrange meetings that lead to briefs and ultimately new work for the business
Actively manage marketing database of current client and prospect contact information. Knowledge of Salesforce, CampaignMonitor and other marketing automation platforms would be beneficial – but you will be trained on all these platforms by our team
Share accurate and insightful management information with UK MD and senior team on a weekly basis
Collaborate with Marketing Director to manage content creation and distribution across channels
Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, click/open rates and analyse event attendance to proactively recommend future marketing strategies
Be proactive in the way that you approach lead generation, thinking about different ways to engage potential clients
Manage key meeting collateral, including CLEAR credentials and top case studies, ensuring consistency and clarity in how we’re presenting ourselves to prospects
Maintain your knowledge on market shifts, identifying potential challenges and opportunities for CLEAR and report back
practice business development amongst consultants – currently, consultants are
responsible for generating business from existing pillar accounts but some
responsibility for creating the impetus and systems to connect with contacts on
a regular basis falls on this role
Skills and experience
Experience in a similar marketing role (agency or in-house), preferably in a B2B environment
Our ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly enthusiastic about sales and business development, is knowledgeable or has an interest in marketing and brands
You will be an outstanding communicator both in writing and on the phone. You will have a natural confidence, and be professional in everything you do
Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll set the bar for others when it comes to best practice business development – with the gravitas and ability to motivate and inspire others
The successful candidate will be motivated and intelligent, with a positive outlook, mature attitude and solid work ethic
You’ll understand brand and marketing issues and quickly pick up the ways in which CLEAR supports its clients in solving them
Organisational skills are a must, as is a superb attention to detail
You're presentable, balanced and a fast and creative thinker. Working well in a team environment is essential, as is the confidence to be opportunistic when the chance to close comes along
Experience within speaking to senior level decision makers or previous sales role/experience is desirable
